Act One, Wilderness. This is one busy shot. It actually looks somewhat like one of our FsotW's, a fake screenshot, put together from various other shots. There is just too much going on. There is an extremely high concentration of monsters, Hellhounds are known to mostly be found around and inside the major structures in Act One, the Cathedral and Monastery, not out in the wilderness like this. The silver Fallen (five live ones visible here, one is right in front of the rock to the top left, and is well-camouflaged there, and there's a dead one on the far left, you can see a sword and a leg) have only been seen in Act Two before, that golden skeleton with the big hatchet is new and unknown, and there is a red fallen shaman, but no red warriors. Also, there is an arrow incoming from the lower right, so apparently an off screen monster shooting, add that to the menagerie. So lots of odd things, but assuming it's not a fake released as sort of a joke, it's probably the highest head-count of monsters ever seen in a screenshot to date. Obviously the Sorceress is casting Blaze and has apparently gotten the Hellhound at the top, though he doesn't look to really be in the flames. Great dying pose, clutching the chest and reeling around. Like a cowboy in an old Western, as he's about to fall off the roof of the general store. -- 3d-enhanced shot, 9/99
