Act Two NPCs
Npc-kaelan.jpg
Kaelan is the only one of the city guards who speaks, albeit briefly. He stands beside the entrance to the Palace, preventing anyone from entering until the Arcane Sanctuary quest is activated. Prior to them his only dialogue is "You may not pass."

Once the quest is activated and Jehryn allows your character into the palace, Kaelan gains three new dialogues, which he alternates between randomly.

  • Welcome to the palace.
  • You may enter the palace.
  • Stay out of trouble.

Kaelan and his fellow guard on the other side of the doorway are interesting to compare to the Act Two mercenaries. The are identical in appearance, save for their shiny golden helmets, while the common Act Two mercs go bareheaded, no matter what the character who hired them gives them for equipment.
