Unique items in the Diablo II Expansion are found rarely, and have generally awesome stats, far better than the uniques in Diablo II. These Exceptional Uniques are only found in the Diablo II Expansion, not in Diablo II.
Many unique items changed in the expansion with the release of the 1.09 Patch. All unique items found have the same stats as the ones in the table below, items found in 1.08 may have slightly different stats. Items that have had major changes will marked with a * and their old stats will be listed under the table.
- In 1.09 of the Expansion you can gamble for unique items, but the odds are 1/100,000.
- No Unique rings or amulets have special graphics. They all randomly pick one of the existing jewelry graphics each time they are generated.
- The dropping order for unique rings/amulets is now removed in D2X and D2 1.07 or higher.
- Rarity is expressed as items per 1000 items of that type. Eg if a ring was listed as 18/1000, it would mean that out of 1000 unique rings found, 18 of them would be that particular ring. CD2 Rarity applies to Classic Diablo II only, and not D2X.
- Item Level: Monsters must be of this level to drop a particular item. A list of monsters and their Mlvls can be found at Darkness.
- The Clvl req is the character level you need to be to be able to wear the item.

1.08 Statistics
Many Uniques changed stats in v1.09. If the item was found prior to v1.09 it will have different stats. Items not listed below didn't have any major changes.

Amulet Generation Order
In Diablo II 1.06 and prior, there was a set order for the three rings and three amulets to be generated in, either from gamble or monster drop.
Nokozan Relic -> Eye of Etlich -> Mahim-Oak Curio
The game would always drop the Nokozan Relic unless it was already in the game. If it was, then the game would always drop an Eye of Etlich. Only if both those were in the game would a Mahim-Oak Curio appear. If all three were in the game and the game tried to create a unique amulet, either from a monster drop or from gambling, it would generate a rare instead. Since the Eye is the most popular/useful unique amulet, most characters would carry a Nokozan in their stash, or carry all three to increase their odds of a Rare amulet.
This order is abolished in D2X and D2 1.08 and drops are now random.
