June 14, 2006. Confusion briefly reigned after after media coverage of a [[Vivendi Games ]] presentation reported that all future Blizzard games would be MMOs, thanks to the massive success of ~~wow~~World of Warcraft. Official refutation came via Blizzard's forums.

I believe this was a misquote. We haven't announced any specific development plans beyond the upcoming expansion for ''World of Warcraft'', and we don't have any intentions to focus on only one genre or platform with our future games.
