=Background=
Tal Rasha was one of the greatest Horadric Mages ever to live. He hunted for Baal after the Dark Exile and sought to bind Baal to a Soul Stone like his brothers Diablo and Mephisto. However, during their battle, the Soul Stone Tal Rasha was intending to use was broken. Tal Rasha took up the largest piece of the Soul Stone and thrust it into Baal, temporarily trapping his soul. However, knowing this wouldn't last for long, he also had his brothers restrain him inside a [[Tal Rasha's Tomb|tomb]], and then thrust the stone into his body, to leave him to wrestle with the demon for eternity.
The cloth which people used to be swaddled in before they were interred were sometimes known as wrappings, so this set could be made up of the items in which Tal Rasha was buried in, although in the Diablo cinematics Tal Rasha does not appear as characters do when wearing the full set of [[Tal Rasha's Wrappings]].
