These Exceptional Uniques are only found in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, not in Diablo IISee below for more details.
There are no new graphics for rings or amulets * The "Rarity" odds assume that the monster dropping the ring is capable of dropping every unique ring in the Expansiongame. Hence, and as in Diablo IIif a monster able to drop the Wisp Projector drops a unique ring, there are no special graphics for any Unique jewelryis a 1/75 chance it will be the Wisp Projector.
* Unique jewelry can be gambled in Diablo IIIf the monster's Mlvl isn't high enough to drop some of the rings, except in patch versions 1.07 and 1the rarity odds change accordingly.08For example, like all other Unique items whose base items appear in gambling.* The generation order for unique an Mlvl 40 monster could only drop the first three rings, so it would have a 15/amulets is now removed in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction 31 chance to drop Naglering, 15/31 to drop Manald Heal, and Diablo II for patch versions 1.07 or higher. We have it listed on our Unique Rings page, and the ring's full stats are listed in the game files, but it has a 0, instead of a 1, in the "completed" column in uniqueitems.txt, the actual game file that sets the properties on Unique items, which makes it undroppable.
==Ring Generation Order in D2C==
* The Contricting Ring is not and never has been droppable. We have it listed on our Unique Rings page, and the ring's full stats are listed in the game files, but it has a 0, instead of a 1, in the "completed" column in uniqueitems.txt, the actual game file that sets the properties on Unique items, which makes it undroppable. Anyone who knows anything about MPQ extracting or mod-making can verify this in 30 seconds, and enable it to drop in their Off-realm games while they are at it.

If the item ''were'' enabled, the only monsters in the game that could possibly drop the ring are Baal and Nihlathak, since the ring has an ilvl 95, and monsters must be as equal or higher to the ilvl of a unique to drop it. Baal is mlvl 95, Nihlathak is mlvl 98. It might also be possible to find it from chests late in Hell, since though they are capped at ilvl 75 in the game code, people have found items much higher than that from them, including some charms with modifiers that no monster can drop. =Ring Generation Order= This applies only to Diablo IIClassic, '''pre-prior to the v1.08'''patch.
The game always drops the rings in the following order:
* Nagelring > Manald Heal > Stone of Jordan
If the game determines to drop a Unique Ring, it checks to see if a Nagelring is in the game or has already been generated in that game. If not, one will always drop. If there is a Nagelring, it does the same check for a Manald Heal, and will drop one unless there is one in the game or already generated in that game. If so, it performs the same check on the Stone of Jordan. If all three are in the game, a Rare Ring will be generated.
Most characters carried Therefore, if a character was carrying a Nagelring and Manald Heal to try and generate a SoJ in early Diablo II, unique ring generated from a monster or all three if they wanted only Rare Rings. Having the first two on a character and then gambling for tons of rings was a good way to get more Stones. This set order of dropping is abolished in D2X and D2 1.08. Instead, the game will simply pick it would always be a unique ring to drop based on rarity and Mlvl restrictions. As with all Uniques, only one Stone of each can drop in a given game; Uniques on characters or in their possession don't count in the drop equationJordan.
