A '''Stub''' is a page in the {{WikiTitle}} that for one reason or another need needs polishing or content added.
==What is a Stub?==
 Any page where there is content, formatting, grammar fixing or fact checking needed is considered a Stub. This is usually shown by a contributor adding a <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki> template on the page, and can be found in the [[:Category:Stubs|Stubs category]]. If you find pages a page that is in direct dire need of more work you should add a <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki> tag.
==What to do with a Stub?==
The best thing to do if you come across a stubbed article is to find out more about the subject and fill out the article. In some cases the need might be of illustrations, so upload images (but don't forget to [[Help:Category|categorise them]]!) and add them to the page, or try to help adding content as much as you can.

In some cases the article might be meagre, but it still contains all known information on a given subject. In those cases, the article should not be stubbed. The same goes for stubbed articles that contains all known information. Remove the stub if that's the case.
==The Stub Template==
The best way to add articles to the over-arching "to-do-list" of {{WikiTitle}} is to add the <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki> tag on the article. Adding the stubs category (<nowiki>[[Category:Stubs]]</nowiki>) will have a similar effect, but not make need for improvement as apparent. The stub template is made to automatically add any page to the stubs category, but you can also add a small piece of information as to what is needed to change.
Instead of just writing There are two ways to add a <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki>, you can expand it with an explanation like thistemplate:  * <nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki> - simply adds the page to the stubs cateogry* <nowiki>{{stub|the article needs pictures, and more information about birdspotions}}</nowiki>. The next load of - adds the page will show to the stubs category but also lets others know why it's a stub box, and also that same reason for the stubwhat data it's needing
