Smoke, made from [[Nef]] and [[Lum]], in that order. This should work in all types of two-socket body armor. Possible in v1.08 and above.

~~Enormous resistances here, if you've got a character having a lot~~ One of ~~problems getting sufficient resistances for~~ the ~~-100% in Hell, which is common if you don't use~~ easiest ways to add a ~~shield or have Natural Resistance~~big resistance bonus, ~~this could be what you are after. The huge defense vs Missile and faster hit recovery is great as well, making this~~ with just one ~~ideal for a ranged attacking character such as a Bowazon or a Sorceress, though most Sorcs have a shield to help with resistances~~mid-level rune required.
