The Underground Passage marks the first appearance of the [[Tainted]]. These lightning orb spitting demons have a bad habit of making their first appearance as a random boss, so characters with low lightning resistance and life should exercise extra care and not recklessly engage in a pack of these.

The Underground Passage and [[The Hole]] are the only cave levels which entrance may appear on a cliffside wall (refer to image).
