Unique Shields found in Diablo and Hellfire. There were no unique shields added in Hellfire. All of the following are found in both games.

Diablo Unique Shields
Split Skull Shield
The buckler starts of the run of unique shields with cool artwork and fairly mediocre stats.
* Split Skull Shield
* (Buckler)
* Armor Class: 10
* +10 Hit Points
* +2 Strength
* -10% Light Radius
* Altered Durability
* Requirements: None
* Durability: 15
* Qlvl: 1
* Availability: SP and MP. Hellfire only.

Deflector
Useful at low levels, but fairly lame, like all unique shields but the Stormshield.

This item can never be found in multiplayer Diablo, since the Split Skull Shield will always drop instead. It can be found in singleplayer, but only in a game in which you find two unique bucklers, of which the Deflector will be the second.
* Deflector
* (buckler)
* Armor Class: 7
* +10% Resist All
* -20% Damage
* -5 to Hit
* Requirements: 50 strength
* Durability: 10
* Qlvl: 1
* Availability: SP and MP.

Blackoak Shield
Not an especially popular item, despite the nifty inventory artwork.
* Blackoak Shield
* (Small Shield)
* Armor Class 18
* +10 Dexterity
* -10 Vitality
* -10% Light Radius
* High Durability
* Requirements: 25 strength
* Durability: 60
* Qlvl: 4
* Availability: SP and MP.

Holy Defender
Another unique shield with fairly useless mods. It's enough to make you wonder if the D1 team intended shields as just items of armor all along, until they upgraded their potential magical properties late in the game design process and never had time to go back and fix up the uniques.
* Holy Defender
* (Large Shield)
* Armor Class: 15
* -2 Damage from Enemies
* +20% Resist Fire
* High Durability
* Fast Block
* Requirements: 40 strength
* Durability: 96
* Qlvl: 10
* Availability: SP and MP.

Dragon's Breech
Seldom is there such a difference between the coolness of the item artwork and the usefulness of the item.
* Dragon's Breach
* (Kite Shield)
* Armor Class: 20
* +25% Resist Fire
* +5 Strength
* -5 Magic
* Requirements: 50 strength
* Durability: Indestructible.
* Qlvl: 2
* Availability: SP and MP.

Stormshield
The Stormshield is the only quality unique shield in the game, and it's a popular item for any class that uses a shield. The stats aren't that impressive, but it's got fairly high AC, the fast block and +strength are nice, and the way the game limits prefixes and suffixes on shields means that there are few good magical shields to compete with it.

This item is somewhat buggy, since the same stats exist for the Gothic and Tower shield. This makes the shield drop about twice as often as it would otherwise, and for that reason it's one of the most common high level uniques. Both types use the same gothic shield graphic.
* Stormshield
* (Gothic Shield)
* Armor Class: 40
* +4 Damage from Enemies
* +10 Strength
* Fast Block
* Requirements: 80 strength
* Durability: Indestructible.
* Qlvl: 24
* Availability: SP and MP. Drops for both Gothic and Tower, so twice as common as expected.

Hellfire Unique Shields
No unique shields were added in Hellfire.
