Champions are a special kind of monster; tougher than normal monsters, but not as dangerous as bosses.

Diablo II Classic Champions
Diablo 2 Classic had only one type of Champion. Their stats were calculated from normal monsters of their type, with numerous bonuses added, as listed below:
- Damage x2
- +33-50% Elemental Damage
- Attack Rating +75%
- Attack Rate +120%
- Velocity x2
- +20% Speed
Lord of Destruction Champions
A variety of different types of Champions were added in D2X. Champions were given paint jobs as well, to make them stand out in bright, often neon colors. One exception; ghostly champions are translucent, and are the only type of Hell Bovine that look any different from all the rest.
The stats for the various types of D2X Champions are listed below.

Ghostly
- Half Speed
- About 20% Chance for Cold Damage
- 50% Physical Resistance
Fanatics

Possessed
- Hit Points x12
- Can't be Cursed
