Introduction
Gloves are worn over the hands, and come in several types, from leather to plate. In real life battles a good pair of gloves or gauntlets were essential in combat to prevent fingers or hands from being chopped off by errant blows. Also, a solid plate glove allowed a devastating punch to be delivered to any unarmored area of an opponent. The gloves in Diablo II are not as necessary, but they can provide nice bonuses, including faster attack.
- All gloves require a 2x2 space in your inventory.
- Level: A monster must be this level or higher to drop this base item. Ilvl is used in gambling, sales and other calculations as well.
- Clvl Req: A character must be at least this level to equip the item.
Normal
Exceptional
Exceptional gloves are found only on Nightmare and Hell in Diablo II. In the Expansion they go by item level, and can be dropped by any monster of an equally-high level. This means you'll occasionally see Demonhide, Sharkskin, and possibly even Heavy Bracers dropped in Act Five/Normal.
Elite
Elite gloves are found only in the Expansion, and only dropped by monsters of sufficiently high level. You'll see Bramble Mitts and Vampirebone Gloves in Act 5/Nightmare, but the rest will only drop in on Hell difficulty.
