The Pit of Acheron is a mini-hell style level located in the Arreat Plateau of Act V.

The Pit of Acheron is the second styled mini-hell level in the game. The name is not as clearly themed to Baal as the "Abaddon" level, but still related to Hell.

In here you can find an excess of monsters to kill for experience, treasure or pleasure.

There is no waypoint or other useful features of the level besides treasure, so it's skippable, but recommended anyway.

Level Information[edit]

• Monster levels are usually always equal to the area level with exception to uniques (mlvl +3) and champions (mlvl +2).

Trivia[edit]

There is no "Pit of Acheron" in our world, but Acheron is the river of pain, that separates us from the realm of the dead in Greek mythology. This was later adapted in Dante's Inferno, and is also the name of the river that separates Hell from us. [1]
